Boater Reviews
First time at Lake Norman. Took my kids here to have a "car picnic" with a view since my daughter enjoys them so much and it was so hot outside. Parked down at the water in an empty boat trailer spot and in less than a minute a sheriff's deputy was at my window telling me we couldn't park there because of an order by the commissioner? Explained I was just there with my kids to view the water and boaters while we eat. He told me I could park on the back row staring at the trees. Awesome! There were plenty of empty spots all around the parking lot for boaters and there were even 3 SUVs with no trailers parked in the handicapped boat trailer spots at the water. We literally would have just been there long enough to eat our food (20 minutes tops) and been gone. Thanks to the deputy and commissioner for keeping us pesky family time people away from the precious front row parking spots!
A hidden gem. It is a very nice recreation area. Clean and and lots to do besides boating. Plenty of parking. The water level was really low. My dog loves swimming here.
Loved it. Police is always present, the water play at the park is great for folks looking to stay on shore and for kids, also the area is very clean. Just the usual summer bugs 🐜
Our favorite "fishing" spot with the grandkids in Denver. Beachy area to explore and great playground at one end of the parking lot. Enjoy the water spashing...not the fish🤣
Great parking spots for long trailers. Very close to some great picnic areas. 4 wide docks to launch your boat. Unfortunately they do not have a staging dock like blythe landing.
