Boater Reviews
We have rented from Tega Cay Marina a few times, including for our wedding anniversary which was incredible. Always a great time and the staff is super nice and accommodating! The boats are very clean and the staff does a great job explaining everything. Highly recommend!
Everyone at the marina itself is very helpful and kind. Especially the boat club employees. This review is no reflection of the customer service I receive at the marina itself. The reasoning behind my review is solely based off my experience with management. My current slip is broken where the floating dock is not attached to the stable part of the dock. therefore, allowing the drive up dock to move left and right when trying to dock the ski. Instead of only up and down, making it dangerous when trying to dock as well as pull off. In addition to excessive movement when incoming waves occur. I asked to have it repaired in response to that I was told to deal with it and they would fix it when they felt it was convenient to them. At no point was I asking for a refund or wanting something out of it not until they told me it is what it is and it seemed like it wasn’t a priority to take care of their customers. Just wanted the problem solved. I was more than happy to stay at that slip just was hoping to have that repaired. Can’t expect too much from customer service these days but hopefully moving forward they make positive changes in dealing with situations like this. Not necessarily mad just genuinely disappointed.
Great experience! Did the two-hour evening rental, and even got to get on the water a little early. It was my first time (ever) driving a pontoon and it couldn't have been easier. Easier than a golf cart. Not sure the issue from some in past years with parking, as I had no issues finding the designated parking for boat renters. Signs seemed clear to me. And no issues getting my deposit back. Excited to rent again.
Yes, you should double check where to park so you don’t get ticketed. But the staff were friendly and quick to help. The rented pontoon was in great condition. Our family had a blast on the water.
We have always had a great time on Lake Wylie every time we have rented a boat from Tega Cay Marina. I love taking my family out on the water, such an easy way to make everyone happy! Tega Cay Marina is great! Highly recommend
